20-20 Technologies Launches Dacor Appliance Catalog For Kitchen Planning Software

Specifying Dacor Products into Kitchens is now Easier than Ever for Designers

Chicago - April 11, 2008 - Dacor®, market leader in luxury kitchen appliance design, manufacturing and distribution, jointly with 20-20 Technologies®, announced the release of the Dacor electronic catalog for the 20-20 Design™ planning software, providing designers with an extensive number of 2D and 3D photo-realistic visuals to assist with planning luxury Dacor kitchens.

The initial catalog will feature a complete assortment of Dacor ranges, cooktops, wall ovens, dishwashers, ventilation hoods, warming drawers, refrigerators, and outdoor grills from the brand's Epicure®, Preference®, and Integrated Collections.

"Our Dacor designers and engineers develop products with the ultimate goal of enhancing the culinary experience for consumers and providing them with the tools to make both cooking and food storage uncomplicated," said Elaine Chaney, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Sales at Dacor.  "The new relationship with 20-20 Design will give us the opportunity to do the very same for our specifier and designer partners because the software makes integrating Dacor appliances into their plans easier than ever before."

20-20 Design is the design industry's leading kitchen and bath planning software.  With it, designers can space plan and render 3-D images enabling clients to experience the look and feel of a room before making their final decision.  Electronic catalogs included in 20-20 Design provide manufacturer information and options associated with cabinetry, plumbing, flooring, lighting, appliances and accessories.

"While it can be a challenge for many clients to imagine a kitchen design outside of its environment with only line drawings as reference, 20-20 Design offers a full set of architectural drawing tools including window and door libraries to help place designs in a real-world environment," said Jean-Francois Grou, President and COO at 20-20 Technologies.

The software's Advanced Data feature allows designers to show their clients how cabinets, drawers and appliances will open and move.  Users and their clients can fully experience the exclusive style details that make Dacor appliances unique, like the cool blue glow of the Illumina™ Burner Controls on the Epicure Dual-Fuel Range, the intensity of the interior lighting on the Discovery™ Wall Oven, or adjust the color of the appliance to one of the six hues in the Preference Collection.

Dacor will demonstrate the capabilities of their new catalog during the 2008 Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (K/BIS) at the Dacor booth (#S-2581).  The catalog is compatible with 20-20 Design versions 8.1 and higher, and is available for download at www.dacor.com/trade or from www.2020.net.

"The design community is extremely important to Dacor and 20-20 Design gives us another opportunity to show our support and how much the success of their business means to us," continued Chaney.

Dacor Expands Built-In Refrigeration Offering

Consumers Experience Added Convenience with Easy-to-Use Controls and Increased Storage Capacity

Chicago - April 11, 2008 - Dacor®, market leader in luxury kitchen appliance design, manufacturing and distribution, today announced the introduction of new built-in side-by-side 48" and 42" refrigerators and 36" bottom-freezer refrigerators in a classic stainless steel finish for the Epicure® Collection or as an overlay with an unfinished front that can accept custom panels.  Debuted at the 2008 Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (K/BIS), the recent introductions provide even greater options for consumers who demand superior quality from their food storage systems.

The new refrigerators brilliantly merge accessibility and funcitonality with an innovative modular design system that allows homeowners to customize each refrigerator to fit their personal style and an easy-to-use control panel, which helps monitor the internal temperatures of the multi-zone system.

"Many consumers are unsure of the ideal temperature to correctly preserve fruits, vegetables and other perishables," said Elaine Chaney, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Sales at Dacor.  "Our new refrigeration system models feature an ingredient care center with electronically controlled drawers that take the guesswork out of food storage to ensure precious ingredients remain fresh for maximum taste and texture."

The Cool Details

Each of the new models include conveniently located electronic touch controls that allow simple access to the refrigerators' audible and visual alarms that alert users when less than ideal conditions may exist within the unit.  The Door Open™ alarm has an audible alert that warns users if the door is left ajar and the Over Temperature™ helps prevent food from being spoiled by letting users know when the refirgerator temperature rises above 48 degrees Fahrenheit (9 degress Celsius) or if the freezer temperature rises above 15 degrees Fahrenheit.

Max Cool™ assists with periods of heavy ice usage, full grocery loads or temporarily warm room temperature.  The Holiday Mode™ allows users to modify the interior lighting or ice maker when traveling or for religious observances and the water filter indicator located on the control panel alerts when the filter needs to be changed.

Boasting increased storage capacity over previous models with convenient adjustable gallon-size container door bins, the refrigerators include a redesigned in-door electronic ice and water dispenser that easily accommodates oversized cups, sports bottles and tumblers.

Star K Certified as Sabbath and holiday compliant with spill-proof adjustable glass shelves and bright interior lighting, users can conveniently replace the stainless steel door skin if damaged.

The expanded line of built-in refrigerator systems will be available at authorized Dacor dealers in April 2008.
