Experience Luxury Cooking with the Distinctive Wall Oven by Dacor

Premium performance and quality craftsmanship come together for the newest addition to the Dacor appliance offering.

DIAMOND BAR, Calif. - November 19, 2009 - Dacor®, market leader in luxury kitchen appliance design, manufacturing and distribiution, today introduced the new 30" Distinctive Wall Oven.  This premium wall oven is the perfect introduction to luxury cooking, combining quality craftsmanship, sleek styling and new features for consumers who demand superior performance and desire a better culinary experience.

Designed and assembled by hand in California, the new Distinctive Wall Oven continues the company's 44 year heritage of developing innovative cooking appliances that provide people who are passtionate about the details of cooking with the optimum ownership experience.  With a unique handle that sits completely flush with the wall oven door to give kitchen designers and homeowners additional freedom with planning their kitchen layouts, the ovens also feature Dacor's exclusive four-part Pure Convection™ technology, providing home chefs with the power to expand their culinary repertoire.

"The Distinctive Series will appeal to a broader base of consumers, including those who have wanted to upgrade to a luxury appliance but have been reluctant because of their budget," said Steve Joseph, Vice President of Marketing at Dacor.  "This collection offers consumers an entry level luxury appliance with the premium performance, distinctive styling and feautres they desire for their cooking needs."

Available in a stylish stainless steel finish with an understated contemporary handle design, the Distinctive Wall Oven features seven intuitive cooking modes - Bake, Broil, Convection Bake, Convection Broil, Convection Roast, Pure Convection™ and Proof - for the flexibility to bake or broil virtually anything.

The exclusive four-part Pure Convection system creates uniform temperatures on every level of the oven cell, using a custom designed air baffle for channeling hot air in a perfect pattern.  The unique convection filter captures grease and flavor particles within the oven cell, allowing users to cook multiple dishes simultaneously without the worry of flavor transfer.  The Proof mode helps dough rise quicker, reducing preparation time and the Meat Probe ensures proteins are cooked thoroughly before serving.

With hidden Bake and recessed Broil Elements, the wall oven has more interior capacity to fit larger dishes and clean-up is easier.  An electronic touch control panel makes operation of the wall oven simple and digital timers and Temperature Hold helps users plan meals accordingly, so everything is prepared at exactly the right time.  A bright interior halogen light makes it easier to monitor oven contents and the Safety Lock design prevents unintentional operation of the oven by disabling the use of the control panel.

The new Distinctive Wall Oven is the latest addition to the Dacor line of award-winning wall ovens, which includes the timeless Renaissance and innovative Discovery™ series.  Renaissance Wall Ovens are classic in their design, but offer advanced features for impeccable performance.  Discovery Wall Ovens feature an easy-to-use interactive controller, which is preset with 99 of the most popular cooking mode recipes organized by food type and room to store up to 100 more to help even the most novice chef cook like a gourmet.

The Distinctive Wall Oven is Star-K Certified with Sabbath Mode for universal appeal and will begin rolling out to authorized Dacor dealers in December 2009 with pricing starting at $1,999.  The Dacor Distinctive Double Wall Oven will be available in March 2010.

Dacor Increases Appeal To Builder Market With The Introduction Of The Epicure 36'' Gas Range

Builders Now Have Another Option to Help Create Their Clients' Dream Kitchens

LAS VEGAS - January 20, 2009Dacor, market leader in luxury kitchen appliance design, manufacturing and distribution, today previewed the Epicure® 36" Gas Range at the 2009 International Builders' Show, expanding the brand's collection of premium performance cooking appliances for consumers and increasing options for builders who want to offer clients the kichens of their dreams.

Builders now have another opportunity to help clients get the kitchen they have always imagined, finished with a full suite of stylish appliances that will enhance the culinary experience.  And similar to the Epicure 30" Gas Range, which launched Fall 2008, the commercially inspired stainless steel style of the 36" model offers home chefs all the durability and control preferred in professional cooking appliances, with exclusive details that appeal to distinguished cooks and design-savvy consumers alike, including features that make cooking safer and cleanup easier.

Additionally, homeowners restriced to only gas heat sources have one more choice for a powerful luxury alternative, with more cooking flexibility and a BTU output greater than that of the competition.

"Geographic areas such as New York City, Southern California and many mountainous regions are often limited to all-gas heat sources, and consumers have to settle for appliances that may not offer the desired level of power or desgin appeal," said Steve Joseph, Vice President of Marketing at Dacor.  "With the Epicure 36" and 30" Gas Ranges, home chefs can effortlessly achieve gourmet results with an innovative appliance that radiates a feeling of luxury and gives complete control over every aspect of the cooking experience."

SIGNATURE DETAILS
Featuring the remarkable details that make Dacor ranges works of art, the Epicure 36" Gas Range has a brilliant appearance that  looks cool, even at its highest temperatures.  Desgined for greater safety, Dacor's exclusive Illumina™ Control Knobs operate each of the burners as well as the oven and function as stylish accents that glow in the brand's signature "flame-blue," visually indicating the range is in the "on" positoin, even when the burner flame is barely visible at its lower point.

High-performance SimmerSear™ Burners deliver professional-level accuracy over a wide range of cooking temperatures, up to 18,000 BTUs, for the perfect simmer, sear or sauté.  Each low burner is designed to accommodate every cook's needs, whether the recipe requires an ultra-low heat to melt butter or chocolate, or a fast rolling boil to cook pasta.  The multiple sealed burner configurations allow cooks to prepare different foods, at different BTUs, and in various sized pots and pans, all at the same time.

Three Continuous Platform Grates - two 10" grates and one 14" grate - make maneuvering pots and pans around the burners a simple task to provide an especially spacious cooking surface that fits oversized cookware easily.   The heavy-duty cast iron grates extend to the side of the range to create a larger cooking surface and sit on four rubber feet so they can be safely transported from cooktop to countertop without damaging surfaces.  A one-piece spill basin sits underneath each pair of burners to catch any food or grease that falls through, simplifying cleanup.

With four cooking modes - Convection Bake, Convection Broil, Bake and Broil - chefs can explore a wide range of culinary options and simple controls, including an easily accessible switch that allows users to toggle between conventional and convection cooking modes.  The exclusive Three-Part Convection System™ uses the fan, air baffle and convection filter to ensure precise oven temperature control, superior cooking performance and zero flavor transfer, while the stainless steel bake element, rated at 30,000 BTUs, and the increased power of the infrared ceramic broil element provide superior power.

Optional removable searing grill, griddle and wok accessories provide users with the ultimatre tools to be completely createive in the kitchen.  The flexibility to store the griddle and searing grill away when not in use keeps the cooking surface free and clear of clutter.  Dishwasher safe, the griddle features a superior nonstick scratch-resistant coating, and the wok ring can accommodate any size wok.

An expanded viewing window, larger than those offered by competing ranges, enhances both aesthics and visibility, making it easier than ever to monitor dishes inside the oven.  Interchangeable trim pieces in Chrome, Brass, Copper and Black Chrome are available to coordinate with other appliances in the Epicure collection.

Star-K certified as Sabbath and holiday compliant, the Epicure 36" Gas Range will begin rolling out to authorized Dacor dealers in April 2009.

Cooking enthusiasts are passionate about every detail of the culinary experience, from the freshness of the ingredients selected to the quality of the tools used, which is why many home chefs opt for reliable appliances, like Dacor, that provide exceptional performance.  Advanced features like the Discovery Controller™ with preprogrammed cooking modes and SimmerSear™ Burners with ultra-high and ultra-low heat settings for the perfect sear and gentlest simmer, provide cooks with a unique advantage to yield professional results and effortlessly transform the mundane task of cooking into an enjoyable experience.

And while reliable, there are rare moments when something goes wrong.  However, with the new DDS program in place, if problems arise with a Dacor appliance, there should be comfort knowing that someone is waiting to assist with resolving the issue quickly.
