Detail Spotlight: Millennia Microwave In-A-DrawerMICROWAVES: MORE THAN JUST POPCORN

Now that you have spent the greater part of the last two months preparing and cooking big meals for your family, you are ready to take a break and leave them to their own devices, which usually means everything goes into the microwave.

Over the years, the microwave has become as important to the kitchen as the refrigerator or oven. You and your family cannot imagine living without the appliance that gives everyone in the home culinary freedom. But sometimes microwave meals translate into unhealthy options or bland dishes that lack appeal ─  and that’s the last thing you want for your family.

But, today’s microwaves do so much more than pop corn or reheat leftovers and frozen dinners.  With heat sensors that adjust power levels, cooking times that prevent overheating and combination convection modes, you can cook anything from Beef Wraps to Mexican Chicken to Apple Pie.  Everything will come out of the microwave flavorful and delicious.

Additionally, the microwave no longer has to sit out like a sore thumb on the countertop, taking up valuable kitchen real estate. Multiple configuration options let you install the microwave underneath the counter or over the range or to build it into cabinetry to stack with other appliances. Design flexibility makes it easily accessible for everyone in the family to use, while the child locks keep tiny hands out.

So, for you, Dacor offers a variety of microwave options: the Millennia® Microwave In-A-Drawer™, the Convection MicrowaveOver The Range Microwaves and of course, the classic Microwave.

The Millennia 30” and 24” Microwaves In-A-Drawer offer the flexibility of installing the appliance below the countertop, in an easily accessible location to free up counter space.  The freedom to install the unit in convenient locations throughout the kitchen lets you safely remove contents from the microwave without the risk of spillage because hot food is not lifted overhead.

Although non-traditional in style, the Microwave In-A-Drawer boasts all the features and conveniences you have come to expect in a microwave, including preset buttons for popcorn, defrosting and reheating. But the Millennia Microwave In-A-Drawer takes ease of use a step further with an automatic drawer opening that effortlessly opens and closes with just one simple touch. The need to wrestle with awkward handles is eliminated.

The Dacor Convection Microwave is an advanced version of the traditional microwave, bringing together the best of both worlds.  Convection technology gives you the power to brown and crisp like a convection oven, while still taking advantage of the speed and convenience of a microwave because the microwave element heats food faster and the convection element enables even cooking through its circulation air currents, much like a convection wall oven.  There is even a combination mode, which uses convection heat to seal and brown the outside while the microwave energy cooks the inside, perfect for baking your favorite Apple Pie.

Ideal for either built-in or countertop installations, the Convection Microwave is available with 27” and 30” trim kits to help create a streamlined appearance when the unit is stacked with other Dacor built-in appliances.

With either the 30” classic or Convection Over The Range Microwave Hood, you will make sure every inch of space in your kitchen matters.  These models solve both your ventilation and microwave needs, and feature on-screen recipes that take you beyond everyday fare.  The Convection model offers a two-level cooking rack and lets you enjoy the convenience of the microwave with the ability to bake, brown and crisp.

The classic Dacor Microwave is anything but conventional. Available in stainless steel and black and all six signature Preference glass colors: Anthracite Gray, Sterling Gray, Titanium Silver, Blue Water, Slate Green and Black, the microwave includes all of the features and conveniences that have made the appliance a kitchen staple. In addition to the standard preset buttons for popcorn, defrosting and reheating, the microwave includes pre-programmed recipes to help you create perfectly cooked meals in minutes.

With a simple touch of the “15 Minute Dinner” button, on-screen step-by-step instructions provide easy-to-follow directions on how to prepare a variety of delicious meal options in record time.  Sensor Modes halt the cooking process and alert the user when the potential to overheat is suspected by the unit. And for complete control that operates without sensors, you can program power levels and cooking time in three separate modes: Reheat, Defrost and MicroWarm.
