CCPA Consumer Request Form
The California legislature enacted the new California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) with the aim of providing consumers certain rights with respect to any personal information that has been collected from or about the consumer. CCPA became effective on January 1, 2020 and consumers can make rights requests to restrict what businesses do with their personal information.
Personal Information can be obvious things like your name, address, email address as well as some less obvious things like a product number or device ID that relates to a product you may have purchased. The law provides consumers with three main rights with respect to the personal information that Dacor has collected about them. These rights include:
1.) The Right to Access the personal information collected. This right allows the consumer to see the types of data collected, email, telephone number etc.
2.) The Right to Delete the personal information collected. This right means PI collected from you would be deleted. There are a few notable deletion exemptions (such as transactional information needed to fulfill an order or warranty information needed to comply with a repair request) and
3.)The Right to Opt Out of Sale (or Do Not Sell) the personal information. This right means Dacor should not sell you personal information to a third party.
